Course description

The Lifelong learning programme - Clinical Education Level I in the field of Diseases of Cattle, Sheep, and Goats is governed by Act No. 166/1999 Coll., on Veterinary Care and Amendments to Certain Related Laws (the Veterinary Act), Decree No. 331/2021 Coll., on the Organization of Education for Veterinarians Practicing in Clinical Veterinary Medicine, Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and Amendments to Other Acts (the Higher Education Act), as amended, the Statute of the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno, the Continuing Education Regulations of the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno, and the Rules for Ensuring the Quality of Educational, Creative, and Related Activities and the Internal Evaluation of the Quality of Educational, Creative, and Related Activities of the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno.
The Lifelong learning programme - Clinical Education Level I in the field of Diseases of Cattle, Sheep, and Goats is organized as a voluntary educational program for veterinarians practicing in clinical veterinary medicine. It is designed to enhance the level of knowledge, skills, and expertise of veterinarians in clinical veterinary practice. Instruction is provided by experts from the university conducting an accredited master's degree program in veterinary medicine or veterinary hygiene, the State Veterinary Administration, private veterinarians, and other specialists in the respective field. The program is overseen by the Internal Evaluation Board of the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno at the institutional level, the Continuing Education Board at the program level, and the guarantor of Clinical Education at the specific program level
The Lifelong learning programme - Clinical Education Level I in the field of Diseases of Cattle, Sheep, and Goats is followed by the Clinical Education Level II program in the same field, which represents a higher level of difficulty, focusing on specialized knowledge, experience, and skills.
The aim of Clinical Education Level I in the field of Bovine, Sheep, and Goat Diseases is to build upon undergraduate education leading to the qualification of a veterinarian and to further enhance education following three years of professional experience in the field. The program focuses on deepening practical knowledge, experience, and skills, with a specialization in clinical veterinary issues related to ruminant diseases
