Each year, the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID) offers scholarships for foreign bachelor's, master's and doctoral students. Applicants are responsible for finding and contacting a Mexican host university in the context of their field of study. Information on the length of stay, number of scholarships awarded, requirements for applicants and other conditions will be specified in the offer details after the Mexican agency AMEXCID publishes the open call for the next academic year. After the open call is announced, the applicants need to apply first with the Czech partner - the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic (MoEYS). They submit an online scholarship application with the required attachments by the deadline (see below). MoEYS will nominate suitable candidates to the Mexican partner. In the second stage, candidates selected by MoEYS submit an online application through the Mexican partner's portal SIGCA, where they upload additional required information and documents. One of the required documents is the Acceptance Letter issued by the host university in Mexico. For the purpose of the Acceptance Letter refering to the applicant's academic performance average the following equivalency scale can be used (provided by the Embassy of the United Mexican States in Prague): Equivalencia de notas universitarias, México - República Checa: 10 - 1; 9 - 1.5; 8 - 2; 7 - 2.5; 6 - 3; 5 - 3.5; 4 - 4.
Detailed information on the scholarship offer and the application requirements via the SIGCA portal will be published on the website of the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID). The final selection of applicants will be made by the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Successful applicants will be informed directly by the Mexican partner, unsuccessful applicants will not be contacted. The scholarship is funded by the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
