Slovakia: Study stays for university students studying in Master's programmes

The offer of study stays for Master's students is based on contractual obligations between Czechia and the partner country. Applicants are responsible for finding their host university in Slovakia in relation to their field of study. In the first phase, applicants apply to the Czech partner – the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic (MoEYS). They submit an online scholarship application with the required attachments by the deadline (see below). MoEYS then selects suitable candidate and confirms whether they will be nominated for the award of the scholarship to the foreign partner. One of the prerequisits for the nomination of a candidate is an acceptance letter from the foreign host university. The final decision on the acceptance of the nominated candidate rests with the foreign partner.

The scholarship is funded by the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic.

To apply for the scholarship, you need to submit the online application through this portal (Studujnavs.gov.cz) and summultaneously send in a paper application, as per the requirements of the Slovak partner. The paper application needs to be submitted in two set, it consists of the form "Application for granting a scholarship for Study/Research Stay in Slovakia in the framework of international agreements and programmes“ and the attachments listed therein. The documents should be delivered to the address: Akademická informační agentura, Dům zahraniční spolupráce, Na Poříčí 1035/4, 110 00 Praha 1.
If delivered by post, the package must be sent at the latest on the date of the application deadline. The application can also be delivered in person to the mailroom of the DZS, for information on office hours, please check the DZS website.
